Jonäno® offers up an eco chic luxury lingerie collection that is totally A-MAÏSSE-ING!

Underwear made from corn? Absolutely! Made partially with the wasted parts of agricultural feedstock instead of petrochemicals, Triexta corn derived textiles are one of this season’s newest eco fabrics. In addition to making use of a material that had previously been discarded as waste, Triexta is being incorporated into new fabric blends such as the new bamboo/corn-derived fabrics that come together beautifully in Jonäno’s new EcoLux Lingerie collection. Once again, eco chic design powerhouse, Jonäno® is on the cutting edge of new eco fabrics.

The Maïsse™ Collection incorporates corn based Triexta fibers developed by Dupont™ that offer a unique combination of attributes that are the perfect choice for lingerie, including: exceptional durability and softness; built-in permanent stain and ultraviolet (UV) ray resistance and outstanding elasticity while resisting stretch and sag over time. Best of all, the corn based Sorona®/Triexta piece of the puzzle provides a carbon dioxide reduction of 30 percent, while the manufacturing process reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 63 percent, compared to conventional nylon made from petroleum.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has determined that Sorona® and the generic Triexta apparel fibers made from PTT (polytrimethylene teraphthalate), the latest polymer innovation from DuPont™, offer a unique combination of attributes. “In addition to the performance advantages recognized by the FTC, Sorona® is made in part from renewably sourced ingredients.
